My mentor and first college art professor was in a slight accident recently, so wishing him a “get-well soon” here by posting some images of him drawn between 1980 and 2020.

Here’s a speedy look thru one of my sketchbooks. At the time, I was using a landscape-oriented book to make use of the open page spread. I also avoided lines/ink and wet paint from bleeding to the other side by leaving the backside of each drawn page blank, which also avoids the dilemma of having a nice drawing on each side of the page that one might want to frame.
Way back in 1969, some human beings did something pretty amazing, we took a walk on the moon! To commemorate Apollo 11, I got to sketching bits of this historical event.
