11″ x 17″ sketchbook spread in ink and watercolor Meh, could be more interesting. But this is why you do preliminary sketches to figure it out what is going to work best.
Will, that went fast – within the first hour. Thanks to everyone who participated. There are still loads of other original art postcards left if you want to get one. Just go to http://www.postcards.visualaids.org
18″ x 18″ oil on canvas So funny little story, maybe. So one day a friend of mine who had a combo office space and impromptu art gallery, asked if I could paint anything. I said sure, obviously, some things I might paint better than others, but I felt pretty confident in my abilities. So he reached into his waste basket and pulled out an empty beer can from the previous evening. “Ok, then paint this.” I returned to my studio and painted this still life. The indentations on the top of the beer can resembled eyes and nostrils, to me, while the opening kind of looked like a mouth. My ode to the king of beers, meh.
24″ x 22″ x 1.5″ oil paint on various-sized cradled panels A reposting of a “produce series” of assembled painted panels that started with the bananas and was continued with these berries, but never really took off. Something I may come back and pursue.
