After my last painting which was much bolder and brighter in color I decided to go a bit more subtle. The imagery is more painterly, as the concept each image represents is more important then how accurate and precise each automobile model appears, for example. This isn’t to say that I won’t go back to bold and bright, if it fits the idea and is appropriate then it works.

One of the things that I’ve tried to do is let the viewer determine what the painting means to them; yet it never fails to have someone as me what the “story” is for each image. And the more realistic each segment is the more emphasis seems to be placed. My intention is for all four images to be considered together. Take a look and determine what you make of it.
